The result announced in the latest report “Government AI Readiness Index” released by the UK’s Oxford Insights in collaboration with Canada’s International Development Research Center (IDRC) show that Vietnam ranks the 62nd globally.
This is the 4th time the report “Government AI Readiness Index” has been published, after three times in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
The report on government AI readiness from 160 countries in the exploitation of AI applications is to operate and provide their services.
Evaluation method in 2021 based on 42 indicators (9 higher than the index in 2020) across three pillars (government; technology sector, and infrastructure) with 10 aspects.
In this evaluation, Vietnam ranks the 62nd position in the world (climbed 14 places in comparison to 2020) and ranks the 6th position in ASEAN (climbed 1 place in comparison to 2020).
This is the first year, Vietnam had average score of 51.82 and surpassed the global average of 47.42.
