Vietnam’s industrial real estate: New trends will be formed

Vietnam is the target of many big investors in order to find business opportunities, diversify supply sources, and relocate investment locations, leading to the need for infrastructure development.

Speaking at the forum opening ceremony, Mr. Le Trong Minh, the General Editor of the Investmentnews, there are still interruptions due to unstable geopolitical and political factors and disease control in some major countries in the context of international trade.

Vietnam is assessed as a bright spot for global investment flows thanks to its stable political and business environment and the effective implementation of drastic measures to realize the Government’s dual goals, and to adapt to the epidemic safety, and restore the production and business.

Many big investors are paying their most attention to Vietnam to find business opportunities, diversify supply sources and relocate investment, leading to the strong increase in the huge demand in the infrastructure, including the industries that are very active such as logistics and industrial real estate…

With the multinational corporations’ strict taste along with the same selective orientation, the priority for attracting the Vietnamese Government’s high-quality investment capital flows will require the adjustment of the mechanism corridor, the related policy as well as investors’ adaptation.

Mr. Le Trong Minh emphasized that “we will definitely experience the formed new trends,” and he also gave a series of questions “What will be the main trends in this market? What type of industrial real estate is the most popular with investors? 

"2022 Vietnam Industrial Real Estate Forum is jointly organized by Investmentnews and BW Industrial Company, under the direction and patronage of the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The event will be livestreamed via Fanpage, YouTube and electronic publications of Investmentnews."

Which localities can become “hot spots” for industrial real estate due to possible supply scarcity? What conditions should the industrial real estate developers meet to attract investors? What bottlenecks should be removed to expand the quality supply source in the context of rapidly increasing industrial real estate rental rate resulting in Vietnamese market less competitive? 

How will the supply chain operation change in the context of a completely different market after the pandemic and Vietnam becomes an important link in the global supply chain? What products and services should industrial parks be integrated with to meet the tenants’ needs and be consistent with the Government’s sustainable development orientation? What design should be for the new policies to be enacted catch the new wave of investment from the global investment shift?

“A series of questions will be made to the speakers attending the Forum today with the desire to contribute to creating the interesting and useful discussions and information for the policy makers as well as investors, industrial real estate developers”, said Mr. Le Trong Minh and he hoped that the leading industrial real estate research and development experts from BW Industrial Company, Cushman & Wakefield, Savills Vietnam… will work with the leaders of the Economic Zones Management Department, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, to clarify such questions during the discussion at the Forum.

The forum attracts great attention from industrial infrastructure enterprises

It is expected that the speakers coming from the world’s leading private investment fund, Warburg Pincus, large domestic and foreign enterprises such as Ecco, Best Inc, Thuocsi.vn, Amata, DEEP C, VSIP, IDICO, Shinec … will discuss, evaluate and make the forecasts on how to operate the supply chain in the context of market changes; the trend of creating an industrial park ecosystem associated with the development of specialized products of industrial real estate according to the green development model, in line with the net zero emissions commitments that Vietnam has undertaken at COP26 Conference.
